Trying to get this Thursday rolling right. Grateful I got up early enough to avoid a few issues this morning, got some breakfast in, and now let’s see if I can get some work into the kiln. 🔥

Also had a breakthrough with my livestream setup today — I figured out how to run my GoPro live to Facebook and switch between the GoPro and my phone camera mid-stream. Being able to jump from a handlebars POV shot back to face cam opens up some really cool possibilities for rides and studio content.

Traditionally used for sipping mezcal…this one just happened to be born from glass and ocean energy.

Green Stardust over Green Emerald with layers of silver and gold fume creating that deep marine glow. Every angle catches different light, almost like sea glass pulled from another world.

I’ve really been loving this nautical direction lately.

Residual propane and pressure in the lines can cause all kinds of problems, so I always bleed them down at the end of a session. 🔥

A molten glass crystal ball orb, coastal-inspired lobster claw experiments, and tiny ocean creatures all shaped by hand in the torchlight during another late-night session at the Westie Glass studio.

The ambient soundtrack “Introspection” felt perfect for this one — slow, reflective, hypnotic and full of firelight energy.

Trying to push these projects further every day and turn molten glass into something that feels alive.

A quick look at this deep blue lobster claw coming out of the kiln and finally seeing daylight for the first time. There’s always that moment opening the kiln where you find out if the piece survived the heat cycle… and this one came out glowing.

Made a 🦞 lobster claw 🦞 last year while traveling back to the area where I went to high school in Maine.

Getting excited for my next trip back, so I made a new version — second pic to compare the evolution!

Had an absolute blast exploring these shapes and already looking forward to creating more.

Here is the mic I love to use in and away from the studio. Livestream audio is difficult in the studio but this DJI mic mini has great sound and being a lav, I can work at any station and take the recording with me.
